There is a reason the 2010 Toyota Tundra has held on to its special place at the top of the
workhorse-truck pack, and it's all to do with keeping up with what drivers want. In keeping
with the times, the Tundra has managed to deliver on the quintessential problem for drivers
who like big trucks and small gas receipts: they have turned out a 5.7 liter V8 that puts out
even more horsepower than the previous incarnation, but improves the fuel economy by 2 mpg.
The new 2010 model is still a champ when it comes to hauling, towing, and powering uphill,
and it also has a remarkably smooth ride thanks to the wide platform, comfortable seats,
and lots of cargo space in the cabin.

2010 Toyota 4RunnerMSRP Starting at $29,175
SUVs have started to cater more to the about-town types, but the 2010 Toyota 4Runner SR5 stays
true to the original drivers of the SUV — outdoor enthusiasts. Other SUVs might try to nod to
those buyers with ads that feature their vehicle on top of a mountain, but with the new 2010
model, there is really no reason to look elsewhere for an off-road vehicle. A new edgy exterior
complements the solid off-road performance, with a superior rear axle that makes rocky terrain
no problem. It comes with a four-speed automatic transmission and a 2.7-liter engine that puts
out 157 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque, and it' also not bad as SUVs go for fuel mileage, coming
it at 18 mpg in the city and 23 on the highway.

2010 Toyota HighlanderMSRP Starting at $25,705
For families who need a vehicle that can handle all the cargo in the world plus friends and the dog,
the 2010 Highlander
is the answer to their dreams. The midsize SUV has nothing but space, and the 2010 is even bigger than its
predecessors, with second-row benches that fold away into a pair of captain's chairs and lots of cargo
room. The 2.7-liter four-cylinder base engine has plenty of power, but if you are looking for a little
extra under the hood, try on the 3.5 V6 that kicks out 270 hp and can handle up to 248 lb-ft of torque.
The ride quality is excellent, and while it's not a sport car, it handles nicely.
